WHO IS THE COOEE BAY TRADING COMPANY?

The Cooee Bay Trading Company (CBTC) culture is for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and On-Land for all genders and ages participating in on-water activities (and land-based activities) who require marine and outdoor adventure safety equipment and additional survival education.

The education and product range offered enhances personal safety and ultimately, survival, with a corresponding reduction of risk of accidents and incidents to the individual or groups.

HOW DO WE PROMOTE THIS?

  • Engage: Never hide behind a website or username, but interact with people in the real world of marine safety and outdoor adventure.
  • Educate: Provide products and educational material that supports all ages, genders and recreational activities.
  • EncourageFinance and manage social media outlets that highlight the do’s and don’ts while praising creative and well thought safety initiatives.

Our information, service and products that are promoted, are designed or chosen by people, based on their experience of real-life marine and land based rescues, delivering educational programs and using reliable safety equipment.

WHAT IS OUR COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION?

Sales and Marketing:

We first started by selling on-line the VHF Marine Radio Handbook with question & answers to assist boating skippers to sit for the certificate of proficiency examination to legally operate a VHF marine radio. From that single item sale back on New Year Eve, December 2009, our product range for both wholesale and on-line retail outlets has expanded rapidly over the years and is now at a stage with international on-line stores and customers through out Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.

Public Education:

We also believe, that to receive you need to contribute back to society and so we support a number of public education websites and social media outlets. Our greatest support and effort goes towards educating the recreational boating public in Australia and land search & rescue groups in New Zealand;

  1. VHFRadioCourse.com | the correct use of a VHF Marine radio and;
  2. Windage.com.au | online marine education courses.

Please feel free to contact us anytime.
